Spectators: 7972 (Terracing: 5980, Seating: 1834, VIP seats: 158) Mississauga Mavericks's Toussaint Buchanan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Renard Stovall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lawerence Bourque in the 5th minute of play. In the 9th minute Lawerence Bourque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renard Stovall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute of the match TDOT FC got a corner. Mississauga Mavericks's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dexter Stanton ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Mississauga Mavericks's Osvaldo Querry got a free kick in the 13th minute. When Dexter Stanton came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the TDOT FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dexter Stanton couldn't finish the play. Renard Stovall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Earnest Beaver, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Riley Gonzales kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Alphonso Askew made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvaldo Querry in the 21st minute. Renard Stovall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Earnest Beaver in the 33rd minute of the match. Frances Riquet might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Renard Stovall. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frances Riquet ran back to his position shaking his head. The attack was good, but when Earnest Beaver in the 34th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Toussaint Buchanan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Earnest Beaver was the one to do the kick off. Frances Riquet struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Renard Stovall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TDOT FC. Riley Gonzales kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. TDOT FC's Dexter Stanton shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 58th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Renard Stovall but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Mississauga Mavericks's Stéphane Teague got a free kick in the 60th minute. Earnest Beaver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Renard Stovall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Mississauga Mavericks got a freekick which was hit by Stéphane Teague. With a little luck, Mississauga Mavericks's Renard Stovall got control of the ball when Frances Riquet tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Lavern Avare fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TDOT FC's protests and gave Lavern Avare a yellow card for diving instead. 73 minutes into the match, Mississauga Mavericks's Toussaint Buchanan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alphonso Askew narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Frances Riquet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute Earnest Beaver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renard Stovall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Frances Riquet came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the TDOT FC fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stéphane Teague in the 97th minute of play forced TDOT FC's goalkeeper Alphonso Askew to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TDOT FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
