Spectators: 8066 (Terracing: 6051, Seating: 1855, VIP seats: 160) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Earnest Beaver got the match started through his kick off. The audience was convinced that Dick Spivey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alphonso Askew was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Spivey in the 4th minute of play forced TDOT FC's goalkeeper Alphonso Askew to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Murdochville's Dick Spivey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alphonso Askew narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to TDOT FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Lawerence Bourque hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes Murdochville got a freekick which was hit by Billie Horton. Earnest Beaver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taylor Fagan having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Dick Spivey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Murdochville's supporters rose to their feet, but Dick Spivey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alphonso Askew breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Earnest Beaver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Taylor Fagan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Taylor Fagan managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when TDOT FC's Frances Riquet fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, TDOT FC's Lawerence Bourque got a free kick in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the TDOT FC defense, Brandon Fontenot kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alphonso Askew. The TDOT FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alphonso Askew should have stopped the shot. Lonnie Coronado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lawerence Bourque hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Alphonso Askew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dick Spivey in the 42nd minute of play. After 44 minutes of play, Murdochville's Dick Spivey made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alphonso Askew was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Murdochville were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dick Spivey made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Dick Spivey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th minute, Dick Spivey reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alphonso Askew. The goal made the score 0-3. Brandon Fontenot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alphonso Askew having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brandon Fontenot got free with Alphonso Askew in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Charles Cervantes during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Charles Cervantes kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. With a little luck, TDOT FC's Alphonso Askew got control of the ball when Brandon Fontenot tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Sebastian Boucher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Murdochville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TDOT FC the free kick. Sebastian Boucher hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Frances Riquet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TDOT FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frances Riquet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Dick Spivey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, TDOT FC's Amédée Vick got a free kick in the 86th minute. Dick Spivey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brandon Fontenot who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Alphonso Askew when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Murdochville's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
