After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Guadalupe Holliday managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guadalupe Holliday was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santo Henrichon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Santos FC made a substitution. Gervais Cotton replaced Guadalupe Holliday. In the 12th minute, one of Lefroy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lefroy. Cleo Smart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Henrichon having to interfere. After 27 minutes, Orville Flood mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lefroy and the Santos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ricky Piedalue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Santo Henrichon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Truman Tolbert might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santo Henrichon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Truman Tolbert ran back to his position shaking his head. Jody Rodrigue struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Santo Henrichon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos FC. During the 42nd minute of the match Orville Flood completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Orville Flood a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a defensive mix-up in Lefroy's zone, Cleo Smart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Henrichon came out of the goal and Cleo Smart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cleo Smart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gervais Cotton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Gervais Cotton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricky Piedalue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Henrichon having to interfere. Santo Henrichon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervais Cotton, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Lanny Hicks came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Lefroy's Clarence Crum. But to his dismay, Clarence Crum quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 74th match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricky Piedalue to maneuver through the defense. Lefroy's Santo Henrichon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervais Cotton in the 77th minute of play. If Ricky Piedalue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Gervais Cotton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Henrichon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute Kurt Link shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Henrichon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Truman Tolbert came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Santos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Truman Tolbert couldn't finish the play. Cleo Smart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Henrichon having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Cleo Smart made a precise shot to the right of Santo Henrichon. Lefroy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1.
