Cordoba City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brian Ransom was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Huey Darden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Talon having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Cordoba City's goalkeeper Hugo Talon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Huey Darden. After 18 played minutes Holl holl got a freekick which was hit by Dimitri Betts. Arturo Sands took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Normand Knox. Holl holl's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Keith Aldridge hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Rémi Gousse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Léon Beauchamp in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Normand Knox saved Holl holl from getting behind. When Léon Beauchamp came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Cordoba City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Léon Beauchamp couldn't finish the play. Normand Knox showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Léon Beauchamp in the 47th minute of the match. Normand Knox went to the wrong direction when Arturo Sands was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The referee ignored Cordoba City's protests and gave Ernesto Judd a yellow card for diving instead. Ernesto Judd kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Léon Beauchamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Talon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Huey Darden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Holl holl's Huey Darden fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal, but it hit the crossbar and went out into the crowd. Léon Beauchamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Normand Knox tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
