The Holl holl fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Normand Knox should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Holl holl booed when Mean Green Machine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brain Alford didn't get a good kick on the ball. Holl holl's Dallas Townsend couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mean Green Machine. Antoine Rivard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Normand Knox having to interfere. Huey Darden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mean Green Machine's Darryl Means played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huey Darden in the 22nd minute of play. After 26 played minutes, Holl holl's Dimitri Betts shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Darryl Means came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Holl holl reached it. 32 minutes into the match, Mean Green Machine's Antoine Rivard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Normand Knox narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Mack Woody shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Normand Knox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mack Woody to strike the kick off in the second half. Darryl Means was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Brian Ransom capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Brian Ransom really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Holl holl's Normand Knox played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mack Woody in the 88th minute of play. If Huey Darden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darryl Means showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Ransom in the 96th minute of the match. Mean Green Machine's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
