A very good chance for a goal. 8 minutes into the match, Ppte Academy's Troy Echeverri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Désiré Zapata narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Georges Wilder didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucien Whatley went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carroll Rainey in the 20th minute of play forced Ppte Academy's goalkeeper Georges Wilder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FK Norman Vikingur booed when Ppte Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacques Dean didn't get a good kick on the ball. Georges Wilder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Trinidad Hurt in the 27th minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Jaime Drake managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ppte Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Drake was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucien Whatley to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Lucien Whatley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Georges Wilder was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. 62 minutes into the match, Ppte Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Lucien Whatley came free, but Georges Wilder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FK Norman Vikingur's zone, Jaime Drake stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Désiré Zapata came out of the goal and Jaime Drake tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jacques Dean kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Désiré Zapata. That made the score 1-1 in the 68 minute of play. Georges Wilder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trinidad Hurt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ppte Academy's Troy Echeverri got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute Lucien Whatley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georges Wilder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ppte Academy were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
