With an extended leg and a bit of luck Désiré Zapata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Désiré Zapata was a little too slow when Arnulfo Cuevas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

FK Norman Vikingur's Désiré Zapata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zachery Hemphill in the 53rd minute of play. Arnulfo Cuevas's late challenge caught a FK Norman Vikingur's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnulfo Cuevas helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes Claxton got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Cuevas. The audience was convinced that Zachery Hemphill's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Désiré Zapata was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zachery Hemphill in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Désiré Zapata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 71 minutes into the match, Claxton's Coleman Willis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Désiré Zapata narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zachery Hemphill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Claxton fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Claxton's Zachery Hemphill looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 80 minutes into the game, Zachery Hemphill cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Désiré Zapata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Napoleon Yost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carroll Rainey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucien Whatley in the 87th minute of play forced Claxton's goalkeeper Napoleon Yost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Claxton's Zachery Hemphill in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FK Norman Vikingur's goalie prevented a goal. In the 90th minute, Zachery Hemphill ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Désiré Zapata was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a rather tough play, Claxton's Yves Pugh got a free kick in the 94th minute. Claxton walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
