With a left leg Monroe Franklin saved Isnardy from getting behind. If Raoul Lackey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elijah Ward fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Monroe Franklin having to interfere. Franklyn Senneville could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Gary Crocker made a huge save. Franklyn Senneville's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Gary Crocker skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Modesto Acosta fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quetico's protests and gave Modesto Acosta a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Quetico getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Modesto Acosta hit a great ball. Jeff Nadeau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gary Crocker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeff Nadeau's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Raoul Lackey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quetico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raoul Lackey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gary Crocker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeff Nadeau in the 43rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franklyn Senneville got free with Gary Crocker in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeff Nadeau was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute, Walker Watts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeff Nadeau struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Gary Crocker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Isnardy. Elijah Ward kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeff Nadeau in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gary Crocker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 69 minutes into the game, Jeff Nadeau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Gary Crocker was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gary Crocker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklyn Senneville in the 81st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklyn Senneville in the 83rd minute of play forced Quetico's goalkeeper Gary Crocker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89thth minute of the game Franklyn Senneville who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quetico's Gary Crocker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Franklyn Senneville had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gary Crocker. Quetico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franklyn Senneville was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Quetico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
