Spectators: 7365 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 15) Norman Terry made the kick off and thus started the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dee Dickens during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dee Dickens kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Carroll Mooney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guoan's Rex Harden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norman Terry in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Tuan Watson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 13th minute of the match Dee Dickens completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dee Dickens a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Dee Dickens hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the game's 17th minute Guoan's Glen Barbour took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Aron Springer and thus the score was 0-1. Gaétan Mathis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aron Springer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tlell's Andrea Yazzie got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tlell's zone, Carroll Mooney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aron Springer came out of the goal and Carroll Mooney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 24 played minutes Tlell got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Boone. In the 26th minute, Gaétan Mathis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaétan Mathis in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aron Springer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gaétan Mathis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 34 minutes into the game, Guoan's Carroll Mooney nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aron Springer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Gaétan Mathis charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaétan Mathis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 41 minutes into the match, Guoan's goalkeeper Rex Harden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Burt Herring. When Lazare Cervantes came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Guoan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lazare Cervantes couldn't finish the play. After the first half Guoan were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaétan Mathis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tlell fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! Tlell:s Aron Springer showed great skill when he stopped Glen Barbour:s penalty. After 62 minutes, Andrea Yazzie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tlell and the Guoan players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Tlell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrea Yazzie to maneuver through the defense. Gaétan Mathis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Aron Springer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gaétan Mathis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Gaétan Mathis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aron Springer, 0-3. Carroll Mooney's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aron Springer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. If Carroll Mooney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Gaétan Mathis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guoan's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaétan Mathis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aron Springer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Guoan walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
