After a defensive mix-up in Champlain's zone, Gregory Akins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilton Grant came out of the goal and Gregory Akins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Champlain supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Beardmore FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Beardmore FC.
