Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Boniface Doiron made the kick off which started today's match. 2 minutes into the game, L.A. Galaxy's Boniface Doiron nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelo Nugent made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. René Tétrault could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Graham Spangler made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves René Tétrault could shoot a difficult shot in the 10th minute, which Graham Spangler however easily saved by the left post. After having played for 15 minutes, Boniface Doiron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. L.A. Galaxy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boniface Doiron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Teodoro Lunsford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. René Tétrault's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Graham Spangler firmly grabbed it by the left post. René Tétrault sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Happy FC's René Tétrault got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute, Waldo Shelton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. L.A. Galaxy's Boniface Doiron got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eldridge Blank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Graham Spangler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half L.A. Galaxy were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when René Tétrault stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Vincenzo Presley came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the L.A. Galaxy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vincenzo Presley couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maxime Holt in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Graham Spangler saved L.A. Galaxy from getting behind. With a little luck, Happy FC's Angelo Nugent got control of the ball when Boniface Doiron tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for L.A. Galaxy. Belaid Benmabrouk stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Angelo Nugent. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Boniface Doiron managed to get in a good position for a shot. L.A. Galaxy's supporters rose to their feet, but Boniface Doiron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Nugent breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Graham Spangler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxime Holt in the 79th minute of the match. Waldo Shelton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Angelo Nugent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. L.A. Galaxy's Boniface Doiron got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Happy FC defense, Boniface Doiron kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Nugent. The Happy FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Nugent should have stopped the shot. The Happy FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. L.A. Galaxy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
