In the 6th minute Quincy Cahill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stamatis Saltiris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Liberty FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Brad Aubé hit a great ball. Hyman Cardenas hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Stamatis Saltiris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chong Lamontagne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stamatis Saltiris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lott in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Anderson Staley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stamatis Saltiris. Liberty FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anderson Staley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 21 minutes into the match, Liberty FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lott came free, but Stamatis Saltiris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stamatis Saltiris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quincy Cahill in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Chong Lamontagne cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Stamatis Saltiris was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chong Lamontagne in the 28th minute of play forced Liberty FC's goalkeeper Stamatis Saltiris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stamatis Saltiris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quincy Cahill, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Stamatis Saltiris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juliusz Szostak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Liberty FC defense, Chong Lamontagne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stamatis Saltiris. The Liberty FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stamatis Saltiris should have stopped the shot. Liberty FC's Stamatis Saltiris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lott in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chong Lamontagne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Liberty FC's goal looked a bit too open when Quincy Cahill came free, but Stamatis Saltiris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Juliusz Szostak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stamatis Saltiris was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 57 minutes into the match, Liberty FC's goalkeeper Stamatis Saltiris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juliusz Szostak. Liberty FC's Stamatis Saltiris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Liberty FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Staley in the 59th minute of play forced Liberty FC's goalkeeper Stamatis Saltiris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liberty FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Chong Lamontagne scored to the left of an out of position Stamatis Saltiris, making the score, 0-6. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Liberty FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lorenzo Ott was slow to take the kick. During this time C.S.M. Resita's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Lorenzo Ott got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stamatis Saltiris quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice moves Chong Lamontagne could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Stamatis Saltiris however easily saved by the left post. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Mariano Lott took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Stamatis Saltiris to make any attempt to save it. 82 minutes in the game Juliusz Szostak did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Rigoberto Block. After 87 played minutes C.S.M. Resita got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Staley. Stamatis Saltiris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quincy Cahill, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Stamatis Saltiris made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Quincy Cahill sent off a good shot on target. Anderson Staley received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stamatis Saltiris came out and tried to block the shot, but Anderson Staley slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 91st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chong Lamontagne in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stamatis Saltiris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. C.S.M. Resita played a much better game than Liberty FC and deserved their victory. The Liberty FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
