The supporters of Derby County booed when XENON FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cortez Moser didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Craig Crain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, XENON FC's goal looked a bit too open when Craig Crain came free, but Edmond Cleveland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Chong Beaulac's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmond Cleveland was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Lucien Rivière recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute, Lucien Rivière made a precise shot to the right of Jeromy Martineau. Derby County's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Craig Crain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Edmond Cleveland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Félix Odom during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 30 minutes into the game, one of Derby County:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Edmond Cleveland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmed Leach, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, XENON FC's goal looked a bit too open when Craig Crain came free, but Edmond Cleveland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Derby County's Craig Crain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmond Cleveland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

54 minutes into the match, Craig Crain dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edmond Cleveland, 2-3. After 60 played minutes Craig Crain rounded XENON FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-4. XENON FC made a substitution. Kip Ferris replaced Stefan Gibson. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Charlie Huber got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 70th minute Lucien Rivière shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeromy Martineau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmond Cleveland didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Derby County's Craig Crain shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-5 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 86th minute, Lucien Rivière ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeromy Martineau was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-6. Lindsey Ring recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in XENON FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! Edmond Cleveland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Craig Crain, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Derby County walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
