Joel Boswell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Félix Odom in the 4th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, MURGASH was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olen Zamora to maneuver through the defense. Chong Beaulac took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joel Boswell. MURGASH's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, MURGASH's Shad Funk got a free kick in the 13th minute. The supporters of Hilliers booed when MURGASH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Art Salmons didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 20 in the game by Yann Hobbs from a close distance when the talented Ahmed Leach managed to make a qualified save. Hilliers's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pierre Cates during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Erik Hinton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 30 minutes, Cecil Gonzalez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hilliers and the MURGASH players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Yann Hobbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind MURGASH's goalkeeper Joel Boswell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

53 minutes into the game, Chong Beaulac was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hilliers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MURGASH the free kick. Joel Boswell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Félix Odom in the 58th minute. Erik Hinton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ahmed Leach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MURGASH made a substitution. Jonathon Herron replaced Mark Carlton. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecil Gonzalez in the 73rd minute of play forced MURGASH's goalkeeper Joel Boswell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charlie Huber got free with Joel Boswell in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. MURGASH's Joel Boswell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charlie Huber in the 87th minute of play. Joel Boswell was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Forest Coupart. The MURGASH manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Hilliers to win.
