MURGASH's Joel Boswell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazaire Fitch in the 5th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ceylon AFC's Kenneth Eddy got a free kick in the 12th minute. Yann Hobbs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nazaire Fitch hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th match minute, Ceylon AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedict Moses to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Mark Carlton sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ceylon AFC's Nicodème Cortes didn't even have to move. Yann Hobbs struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Nicodème Cortes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MURGASH. In the 31st minute, Art Salmons got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yann Hobbs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When MURGASH's Art Salmons in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ceylon AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Epperson during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nicodème Cortes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yann Hobbs in the 48th minute. MURGASH's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mark Carlton in the 50th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dalton Reynolds made the kick off in the second half. When Art Salmons came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the MURGASH fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Art Salmons couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ceylon AFC's zone, Yann Hobbs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicodème Cortes came out of the goal and Yann Hobbs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benedict Moses during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ceylon AFC! Art Salmons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Nicodème Cortes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Claude Hatch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olen Zamora took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nicodème Cortes. Ceylon AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 87th minute Art Salmons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodème Cortes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Claude Hatch fell near the penalty area in the 100th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ceylon AFC's protests and gave Claude Hatch a yellow card for diving instead. In the 100th match minute, Ceylon AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claude Hatch to maneuver through the defense. Mauro Childers hit a great freekick 102 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the MURGASH players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
