Resita fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when C.S.M. Resita's Quincy Cahill looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Chong Lamontagne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyril Champagne having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, C.S.M. Resita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Block to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Landon Story got free with Garrett Gladu in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cyril Champagne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chong Lamontagne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Granville's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lorenzo Ott was slow to take the kick. During this time C.S.M. Resita's players had a chance to rest. After some careless play in the Granville defense, Chong Lamontagne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cyril Champagne. The Granville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cyril Champagne should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Granville getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Granville's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quincy Cahill was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. C.S.M. Resita's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
