Ceylon AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lott was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 11th minute, Claude Hatch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claude Hatch hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ceylon AFC's goalkeeper Nicodème Cortes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bruno Epperson's late challenge caught a C.S.M. Resita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Epperson helped the player get up and apologised. Bruno Epperson hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chong Lamontagne made a kick off. Chong Lamontagnes short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Nicodème Cortes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thaddeus Mejia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garrett Gladu having to interfere. Chong Lamontagne who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Nicodème Cortes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 70 minutes into the game, Chong Lamontagne lined in a short shot 0-10 behind a frustrated Nicodème Cortes. Chong Lamontagne let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 79th minute shot 0-11 at rihgt post. Chong Lamontagne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Chong Lamontagne managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.S.M. Resita's supporters rose to their feet, but Chong Lamontagne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicodème Cortes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over C.S.M. Resita could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ceylon AFC throughout the match.
