Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Real Montréal FC's Mitchell Marrero started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Real Montréal FC's Ruben Parize proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Real Montréal FC from getting a goal against them. Ruben Lay who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Ruben Parize when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 8th minute, Mancity Lightning's Mose Bland ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ruben Parize. Ruben Parize yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 12th minute, Mose Bland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Mancity Lightning's zone, Mitchell Marrero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shaun Casgrain came out of the goal and Mitchell Marrero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 played minutes Real Montréal FC got a freekick which was hit by Emon Potts. The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Len Burkhart put in a rough tackle. In the 17th match minute, Real Montréal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Len Burkhart to maneuver through the defense. Kelley Ulrich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ruben Parize tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Real Montréal FC's Ruben Parize played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kelley Ulrich in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Real Montréal FC's goalkeeper Ruben Parize had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruben Lay. Mancity Lightning's Ruben Lay came free and shot a quick shot against goal 27 minutes in the game, fortunately Ruben Parize had problems saving as it came toward the left post. The supporters of Real Montréal FC booed when Mancity Lightning was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Palmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Mancity Lightning getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Kelley Ulrich hit a great ball. A collision led to Real Montréal FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Thierry Drummond hit a great ball. In the 38th minute of the match Garry Pouchard sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruben Parize skillfully saved the ball. When Ruben Lay came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Mancity Lightning fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruben Lay couldn't finish the play. Ruben Parize showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mose Bland in the 45th minute of the match. When 于川诚 came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Real Montréal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 于川诚 couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mose Bland was the one to do the kick off. If Emon Potts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, 于川诚 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Montréal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but 于川诚 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shaun Casgrain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mose Bland scored 2-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruben Parize, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 62 played minutes Mancity Lightning got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Palmer. 于川诚 struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Shaun Casgrain didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Montréal FC. Shaun Casgrain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emon Potts, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Real Montréal FC's Dylan Lyons got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 78 played minutes, Mancity Lightning's Garry Pouchard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ruben Parize came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mancity Lightning reached it. If Thaddeus Ruff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Emon Potts had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shaun Casgrain. Mancity Lightning's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emon Potts was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Ruben Parize took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Palmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Truman Hankins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 91 played minutes Mancity Lightning got a freekick which was hit by Garry Pouchard. After 92nd play minutes 于川诚 shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Shaun Casgrain and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Real Montréal FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Emon Potts hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mancity Lightning had won after a very even match.
