An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymon Souplet in the 3rd minute of play forced Hurricanes FC's goalkeeper Ahmet Hayri Vedat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmet Hayri Vedat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Errol Mothé in the 5th minute of the match. With a little luck, Hawarden's Pierre Moseley got control of the ball when Rickie Bourque tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hurricanes FC's Ahmet Hayri Vedat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Mobley in the 9th minute of play. When Merrill Dostie fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hawarden's protests and gave Merrill Dostie a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hurricanes FC booed when Hawarden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Merrill Dostie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Amos Hopkins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hurricanes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amos Hopkins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pierre Moseley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marc Coupart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Moseley having to interfere. Pierre Moseley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Coupart in the 29th minute of play. Hurricanes FC's Ahmet Hayri Vedat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Mobley in the 30th minute of play. Ahmet Hayri Vedat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eric Mobley went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ahmet Hayri Vedat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvin Andrade in the 35th minute of play. Amos Hopkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Pierre Moseley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Errol Mothé's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Hayri Vedat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hurricanes FC's Kenny Granger got a free kick in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Charles McKinney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 57 minutes into the match, Hurricanes FC's goalkeeper Ahmet Hayri Vedat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Mobley. 61 minutes into the match, Eric Mobley notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Hurricanes FC's Ahmet Hayri Vedat. Ahmet Hayri Vedat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Elliot Rader fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After 79 minutes of play Hurricanes FC's Elliot Rader was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Elliot Rader kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Sherwood Spencer hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match Merrill Dostie shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmet Hayri Vedat showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dario Sweeney hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Eric Mobley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hawarden's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Mobley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Hayri Vedat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Hawarden supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hawarden would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
