Hurricanes FC's Amos Hopkins got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sammie Egan during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hurricanes FC's Sammie Egan got a free kick in the 19th minute. Erick Lemaître kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Erick Lemaître was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mancity Eagles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hurricanes FC the free kick. In the 28th match minute, Mancity Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrich Sampson to maneuver through the defense. Nicolas McMullen was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Barber in the 47th minute of play forced Hurricanes FC's goalkeeper Ahmet Hayri Vedat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rickie Bourque to make the kick off. Ahmet Hayri Vedat made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Erick Lemaître sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 54 minutes, Rickie Bourque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hurricanes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rickie Bourque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicolas McMullen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Coupart in the 58th minute of play. If Rickie Bourque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achille Hickman hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Nicolas McMullen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Coupart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mary Colon charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mary Colon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mary Colon kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute of the match, Ulrich Sampson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ahmet Hayri Vedat saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marc Coupart struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Nicolas McMullen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hurricanes FC. After 81 played minutes Mancity Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Mary Colon. If Marc Coupart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rickie Bourque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas McMullen having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Erick Lemaître hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rickie Bourque struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Nicolas McMullen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hurricanes FC. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hurricanes FC had played much better football throughout.
