Spectators: 8437 (Terracing: 6329, Seating: 1940, VIP seats: 168) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Derek Weston started the match with the kick off. Jonathan Mayfield struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Carlos Arsenault didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Furious. If Jonathan Mayfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the game, Rayford Arnold was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River Plate Mtl's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Furious the free kick. In the 7th minute, Rayford Arnold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of River Plate Mtl booed when FC Furious was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dick Dionne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Derek Weston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelius Spicer having to interfere. Fernando Strong scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cornelius Spicer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th minute, Fernando Strong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornelius Spicer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Derek Weston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. River Plate Mtl's Derek Weston got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Derek Weston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Cornelius Spicer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Furious's zone, Derek Weston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornelius Spicer came out of the goal and Derek Weston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernando Strong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Cornelius Spicer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 38 minutes, Derek Weston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate Mtl's supporters crossed their fingers, but Derek Weston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Fernando Strong managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate Mtl's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Strong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelius Spicer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Derek Weston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Derek Weston's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelius Spicer was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Leland Parham charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leland Parham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Furious getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Leland Parham hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonathan Mayfield made a kick off. Fernando Strong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Derek Weston might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cornelius Spicer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Derek Weston ran back to his position shaking his head. Derek Weston's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Cornelius Spicer skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Derek Weston might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cornelius Spicer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Derek Weston ran back to his position shaking his head. Derek Weston struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Cornelius Spicer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate Mtl. Cornelius Spicer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rayford Arnold showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 76 minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Telesphore Regan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Furious's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate Mtl the free kick. After 79 played minutes FC Furious got a freekick which was hit by Telesphore Regan. Derek Weston who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Cornelius Spicer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. River Plate Mtl's Derek Weston got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Derek Weston's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornelius Spicer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Derek Weston left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The River Plate Mtl fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5.
