When Eduardo Clinton fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portage's protests and gave Eduardo Clinton a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Portage:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Low:s goal. Nelson Wynn went to the wrong direction when Jonas Jolicoeur was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 10th minute, Ahmad Payne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson Wynn was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Low's Elmo Casey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bobbie Paul in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Portage's goal looked a bit too open when Chong Pack came free, but Nelson Wynn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ahmad Payne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nelson Wynn was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Rémy Webber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Wynn having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Bobbie Paul made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Portage's goalkeeper Nelson Wynn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rémy Webber struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Nelson Wynn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Low. 57 minutes into the match, Portage's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmad Payne came free, but Nelson Wynn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Ahmad Payne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Low's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmad Payne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Wynn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nelson Wynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermenegilde Marcum in the 67th minute of play. Ermenegilde Marcum blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nelson Wynn having to make a save. Portage's Nelson Wynn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmad Payne in the 73rd minute of play. Chong Pack blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nelson Wynn having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeffrey Malone in the 77th minute of play forced Low's goalkeeper Elmo Casey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chong Pack recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Portage's goalkeeper Nelson Wynn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ermenegilde Marcum. After 84 minutes of play, Portage's Jeffrey Malone made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elmo Casey was left in no man's land by his defense there! Low's Chong Pack got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ermenegilde Marcum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
