The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Ariel Dupre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xavier Webb was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After having played for 6 minutes, Augustus Combs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CS Impact de Montreal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augustus Combs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johnie McGill hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Xavier Webb made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Augustus Combs sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Augustus Combs managed to get in a good position for a shot. CS Impact de Montreal's supporters rose to their feet, but Augustus Combs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavier Webb breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Augustus Combs sped through Nova Scotias Finest's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Xavier Webb. Ariel Dupre took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xavier Webb. Xavier Webb dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Siim Rodin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the game, Augustus Combs recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Xavier Webb. Augustus Combs showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Augustus Combs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Xavier Webb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Ariel Dupre made a precise shot to the right of Xavier Webb. Nova Scotias Finest's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. The crowd rose to their feet as CS Impact de Montreal's Ariel Dupre slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Xavier Webb. That made the score 6-0 after 33 minutes of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Ariel Dupre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nova Scotias Finest's Xavier Webb was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Xavier Webb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Dupre, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Xavier Webb was a little too slow when Ariel Dupre got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 7-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gérard Dionne was the one to do the kick off. CS Impact de Montreal's Ariel Dupre got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 53 minutes, Winston Ratté managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xavier Webb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustus Combs in the 60th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Ariel Dupre sped through Nova Scotias Finest's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Xavier Webb. Xavier Webb didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ariel Dupre went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. Augustus Combs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Scotias Finest's zone, Augustus Combs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xavier Webb came out of the goal and Augustus Combs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Nova Scotias Finest:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CS Impact de Montreal:s goal. Nova Scotias Finest:s Xavier Webb showed great skill when he stopped Ariel Dupre:s penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Winston Ratté managed to get in a good position for a shot. CS Impact de Montreal's supporters rose to their feet, but Winston Ratté was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nova Scotias Finest's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CS Impact de Montreal the free kick. In the 79th match minute, Nova Scotias Finest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnulfo Moyer to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Ariel Dupre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xavier Webb. Nova Scotias Finest's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ariel Dupre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. The CS Impact de Montreal fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when CS Impact de Montreal's Ariel Dupre looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 12-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Augustus Combs managed to get in a good position for a shot. CS Impact de Montreal's supporters rose to their feet, but Augustus Combs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After a rather tough play, CS Impact de Montreal's Ariel Dupre got a free kick in the 97th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CS Impact de Montreal fully deserved thier win.
