Renard Vance showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Strong, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Philip Manley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Carlos Arsenault made a huge save. ManchestercityBlues's Germain Allred got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in ManchestercityBlues's zone, Cletus Laux stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renard Vance came out of the goal and Cletus Laux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renard Vance showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derek Weston in the 32nd minute of the match. Cletus Laux sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juste Franklin kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 35thth minute of the game Derek Weston who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ManchestercityBlues's Renard Vance was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Derek Weston in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renard Vance prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cletus Laux struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Renard Vance didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate Mtl. Derek Weston's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renard Vance read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Royce Connolly to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Derek Weston's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Renard Vance was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. 84 minutes into the match, River Plate Mtl's Derek Weston sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renard Vance narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
