The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gérard Dionne to make the kick off. Jere Walton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gérard Dionne's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jere Walton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Terrebonne's goalkeeper Jere Walton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Amédée Guinn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Robertson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jere Walton. Terrebonne's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, one of Terrebonne:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Nova Scotias Finest a penalty, 68 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Johnie McGill, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Terrebonne's Jere Walton. 2-0. Amédée Guinn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nova Scotias Finest's goalkeeper Xavier Webb, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amédée Guinn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Amédée Guinn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xavier Webb was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. If Régis Holmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Nova Scotias Finest booed when Terrebonne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toney Douglas didn't get a good kick on the ball.
