Nelson Wynn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Martxel in the 26th minute of the match. Clement Lutz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bobbie Paul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelson Wynn made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Edwardo Lim sent off a good shot on target. Ermegildo Martxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 34 minutes, Edwardo Lim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Messi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwardo Lim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute, Ermegildo Martxel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luciano Jorgensen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nelson Wynn. Portage's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rolando Luna made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Messi FC's Emilio Neely. Emilio Neely sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
