Augustus Combs started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, CS Impact de Montreal's Augustus Combs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nelson Wynn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Désiré Rudd in the 5th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by CS Impact de Montreal's Arthur de Alcântara. 6 minutes into the game, Ariel Dupre cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nelson Wynn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Josh Glenn scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nelson Wynn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Augustus Combs had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelson Wynn. Portage's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augustus Combs was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Augustus Combs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nelson Wynn having to make a save. 17 minutes into the match, Portage's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Berasko came free, but Nelson Wynn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Josh Glenn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Ariel Dupre notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Portage's Nelson Wynn. Nelson Wynn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Désiré Rudd hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Augustus Combs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Nelson Wynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augustus Combs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36th minute, Augustus Combs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson Wynn was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. CS Impact de Montreal's Augustus Combs got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 43 played minutes Portage got a freekick which was hit by Reggie Light. Ariel Dupre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nelson Wynn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. A collision led to Portage getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Désiré Rudd hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bobbie Paul was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Désiré Rudd threw the ball into play from the sideline. CS Impact de Montreal's Winston Ratté quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 54th minute, CS Impact de Montreal's Augustus Combs dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. CS Impact de Montreal's attack was well implemented in the 57th minute, but when Ariel Dupre was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Ariel Dupre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Augustus Combs reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nelson Wynn. The goal made the score 0-7. Ariel Dupre took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelson Wynn. Nelson Wynn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. The audience was convinced that Ariel Dupre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nelson Wynn was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Josh Glenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Nelson Wynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augustus Combs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Dupre in the 74th minute of play forced Portage's goalkeeper Nelson Wynn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When CS Impact de Montreal's Ariel Dupre in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Portage's goalie prevented a goal. If Augustus Combs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 85 minutes into the match, CS Impact de Montreal's Josh Glenn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nelson Wynn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Augustus Combs notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of Portage's Nelson Wynn. Nelson Wynn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Omar Berasko kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Augustus Combs made a precise shot to the right of Nelson Wynn. Portage's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-11. When the match was over CS Impact de Montreal could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Portage throughout the match.
