The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee ignored Robertsonville's protests and gave Alexandre Achin a yellow card for diving instead. Maxstone's Jerrold Cutler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerrell Platt in the 39th minute of play. With a little luck, Robertsonville's Joshua Buck got control of the ball when Joacim Holmgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute, Harland McConnell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute, Theron McManus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mike Carpenter to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Romeo Winter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joshua Buck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joshua Buck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornell Gagné in the 62nd minute of the match. Joshua Buck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Winter in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Maxstone getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Raoul Bentley hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joacim Holmgren in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joshua Buck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joshua Buck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcolm Lindberg in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute Romeo Winter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joshua Buck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Robertsonville getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ted Bland hit a great ball. Joshua Buck came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Maxstone's Joacim Holmgren. But to his dismay, Joacim Holmgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 91st minute Malcolm Lindberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joshua Buck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, Robertsonville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harland McConnell to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Maxstone were the better team. Maxstone's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
