Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Clair Hayes started the match with the kick off. Neil Moquin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute Kim Louis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Arthur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes Markham Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Cody Palmer. Markham Athletic's Alexandre Arthur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hercule Redd in the 14th minute of play. Alexandre Arthur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kim Louis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandre Arthur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Moquin, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpected shot in the 23rd minute by Clinton Steward got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 26 minutes, Dustin Woodruff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Markham Athletic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dustin Woodruff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandre Arthur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Moquin, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Dustin Woodruff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alexandre Arthur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clair Hayes in the 33rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cody Palmer during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dominique Arpin got his second yellow card in the match during the 44th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 46th minute of the match Darrick Galarneau sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandre Arthur skillfully saved the ball. Dexter Duke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin Whitehead in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dustin Woodruff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Dustin Woodruff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Arthur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clair Hayes, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. A collision led to Markham Athletic getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Cody Palmer hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Dustin Woodruff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dustin Woodruff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dustin Woodruff came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Markham Athletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dustin Woodruff couldn't finish the play. In the 68th match minute, Markham Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clinton Steward to maneuver through the defense. After 69 played minutes Markham Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Cody Palmer. After recieving a nice pass, Blue Jays SC's Darrick Galarneau tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 0-1 became the score in the 72nd minute when Neil Moquin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Clemente McAllister struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Dexter Duke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Markham Athletic. Dustin Woodruff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Dexter Duke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Markham Athletic's Dustin Woodruff got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexandre Arthur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hercule Redd, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the match, Markham Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Clair Hayes came free, but Alexandre Arthur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
