After 23 minutes, Cary Kenney made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Olympiakos's Lincoln Grondin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Kaladar's Isiah Duplanty got a free kick in the 28th minute. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Cary Kenney put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Lincoln Grondin. Alton Brian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cary Kenney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lincoln Grondin having to interfere. Gilbert Robertson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lincoln Grondin having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chad Boyd to make the kick off. The supporters of Kaladar booed when Olympiakos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Don Whaley didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chad Boyd in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leland Smallwood saved Kaladar from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Kaladar's Gilbert Robertson got a free kick in the 65th minute. Leland Smallwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wes Calhoun in the 66th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Kaladar defense, Wes Calhoun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leland Smallwood. The Kaladar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leland Smallwood should have stopped the shot. Chad Boyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Leland Smallwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Olympiakos booed when Kaladar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Robertson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eddy Fay hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. When Olympiakos's Chad Boyd in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cary Kenney couldn't finish the play. 82 minutes into the match, Olympiakos's goal looked a bit too open when Justin Gaudreau came free, but Lincoln Grondin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lincoln Grondin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cary Kenney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lincoln Grondin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alton Brian in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Chad Boyd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympiakos's supporters rose to their feet, but Chad Boyd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leland Smallwood breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
