Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Athletic Ontario's Rick Burkett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clinton Steward in the 15th minute of play. Dustin Woodruff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Rick Burkett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Achille Stoddard charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Achille Stoddard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Achille Stoddard kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Dustin Woodruff's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Rick Burkett skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rick Burkett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Clinton Steward showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrad Judd in the 33rd minute of play forced Markham Athletic's goalkeeper Alexandre Arthur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Conrad Judd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandre Arthur was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Dustin Woodruff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dustin Woodruff who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Rick Burkett when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dustin Woodruff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rick Burkett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Dustin Woodruff who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Athletic Ontario's Rick Burkett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Dustin Woodruff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clemente McAllister might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rick Burkett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Clemente McAllister ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dustin Woodruff in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rick Burkett saved Athletic Ontario from getting behind. If Clinton Steward had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Athletic Ontario's Olivier Terrell suffered a fractured collar bone after 66 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 68th match minute, Markham Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Whitehead to maneuver through the defense. Dustin Woodruff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Rick Burkett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes in the game, Dustin Woodruff dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 83rd minute, Clemente McAllister got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Athletic Ontario getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Conrad Judd hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Clemente McAllister managed to get in a good position for a shot. Markham Athletic's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente McAllister was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rick Burkett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th minute, Dustin Woodruff made a precise shot to the right of Rick Burkett. Athletic Ontario's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Markham Athletic had won after a very even match.
