Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nelson Cunningham started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Dominique Arpin kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelson Cunningham got free with Alexandre Arthur in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th match minute, Markham Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dustin Woodruff to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th match minute, Wiarton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jospeh Carrière to maneuver through the defense. Martin Escobedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute, Wiarton's Jospeh Carrière dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A collision led to Markham Athletic getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Clemente McAllister hit a great ball. When Martin Escobedo came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Wiarton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Escobedo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Escobedo in the 19th minute of play forced Markham Athletic's goalkeeper Alexandre Arthur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Markham Athletic's Bastien Carrière seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bastien Carrière the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Markham Athletic protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bastien Carrière had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 21st minute, one of Markham Athletic:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Markham Athletic. Alexandre Arthur went to the wrong direction when Jospeh Carrière was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Alexandre Arthur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nelson Cunningham in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Wiarton's Martin Escobedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Arthur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The supporters of Markham Athletic booed when Wiarton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jospeh Carrière didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fletcher Tillman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente McAllister, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Vaughn Sarrazin hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute of the match, Nelson Cunningham got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alexandre Arthur was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Clemente McAllister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelson Cunningham got free with Alexandre Arthur in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42ndth minute of the game Dustin Woodruff who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wiarton's Fletcher Tillman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Dustin Woodruff made the kick off in the second half. Dustin Woodruff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Fletcher Tillman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Clemente McAllister fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Markham Athletic's protests and gave Clemente McAllister a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Markham Athletic's Clemente McAllister got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After having played for 61 minutes, Clemente McAllister managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Markham Athletic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente McAllister was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandre Arthur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Cunningham in the 64th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Markham Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Clemente McAllister. Jospeh Carrière fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Arthur having to interfere. When Wiarton's Martin Escobedo in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Markham Athletic's goalie prevented a goal. In the 73rd match minute, Markham Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente McAllister to maneuver through the defense. After 74 minutes of play, Wiarton's Nelson Cunningham made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexandre Arthur was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Markham Athletic booed when Wiarton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aubrey Gunter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute Nelson Cunningham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Arthur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Markham Athletic's Alexandre Arthur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jospeh Carrière in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Vaughn Sarrazin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wiarton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Markham Athletic the free kick. In the 88th match minute, Wiarton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaughn Sarrazin to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the game, Sidney Beam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wiarton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Markham Athletic the free kick. The goalkeeper, Fletcher Tillman, was totally fooled by Markham Athletic's Cody Palmer, who 91 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Nelson Cunningham's late challenge caught a Markham Athletic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nelson Cunningham helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes Wiarton got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Cunningham. 96 minutes into the match, Wiarton's goal looked a bit too open when Dustin Woodruff came free, but Fletcher Tillman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dustin Woodruff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Fletcher Tillman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wiarton's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
