Alexandre Arthur came out of the goal and Ignace Hutchinson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Arthur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wade Carpenter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Mason Rutherford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Arthur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Cahir Palmer made a precise shot to the right of Alexandre Arthur. Markham Athletic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Alexandre Arthur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mason Rutherford, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mason Rutherford to strike the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Arthur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mason Rutherford in the 52nd minute of the match. Alexandre Arthur came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Winnipeg Dogs's Ignace Hutchinson. But to his dismay, Ignace Hutchinson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. In the 63rd minute, Cahir Palmer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alexandre Arthur. The goal made the score 0-9. Markham Athletic's Alexandre Arthur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Markham Athletic from getting a goal against them. Cahir Palmer was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Clinton Steward hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Winnipeg Dogs's Cary Barger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Arthur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cary Barger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Alexandre Arthur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Markham Athletic getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Dustin Woodruff hit a great ball. The Winnipeg Dogs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-11. Winnipeg Dogs made a substitution. Colby Decker replaced Cary Barger. 87 minutes into the game, Winnipeg Dogs's Victor Barrera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Arthur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-12. The Winnipeg Dogs fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Winnipeg Dogs's Mason Rutherford looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-13 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Winnipeg Dogs played a much better game than Markham Athletic and deserved their victory. The Markham Athletic players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
