The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Bobby Hagen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hotman El Abidine Ben Ali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Braulio Dacio in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lincoln Grondin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Olympiakos's Lincoln Grondin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Mafra in the 15th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Olympiakos got a freekick which was hit by Errol Cobb. If Braulio Dacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Mathew Carmona came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Ottoman TurK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathew Carmona couldn't finish the play. Braulio Dacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lincoln Grondin having to interfere. Braulio Dacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thibault Séguin struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Lincoln Grondin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ottoman TurK. In the 32nd minute, Braulio Dacio made a precise shot to the right of Lincoln Grondin. Olympiakos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Hotman El Abidine Ben Ali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lincoln Grondin having to interfere. Salvador Mafra scored 3-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lincoln Grondin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olympiakos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Hotman El Abidine Ben Ali scored to the left of an out of position Lincoln Grondin, making the score, 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Braulio Dacio to make the kick off. Salvador Mafra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lincoln Grondin having to interfere. After 57 played minutes Ottoman TurK got a freekick which was hit by Bobby Hagen. 61 minutes into the match, Braulio Dacio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lincoln Grondin. Olympiakos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Braulio Dacio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. When Ottoman TurK's Salvador Mafra in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olympiakos's goalie prevented a goal. After 73 minutes, Errol Cobb mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olympiakos and the Ottoman TurK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, one of Olympiakos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Olympiakos. Lincoln Grondin went to the wrong direction when Bobby Hagen was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Salvador Mafra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ottoman TurK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Mafra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Braulio Dacio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lincoln Grondin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Lincoln Grondin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Mafra in the 80th minute of play. Braulio Dacio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Olympiakos's goal looked a bit too open when Thibault Séguin came free, but Lincoln Grondin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Ottoman TurK's Thibault Séguin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lincoln Grondin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thibault Séguin hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match.
