Fletcher Tillman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Fletcher Tillman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Olympiakos's Lincoln Grondin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Cunningham in the 35th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Wiarton's Nelson Cunningham in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chad Boyd made a kick off. Luciano Helton helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Olympiakos booed when Wiarton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Helton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fletcher Tillman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chad Boyd in the 61st minute of the match. Renaud Salter hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Nelson Cunningham could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Lincoln Grondin however easily saved by the left post. Nelson Cunningham in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lincoln Grondin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 66th minute, Rickey Lundy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Jospeh Carrière in the 68th minute really tested Lincoln Grondin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olympiakos's goalkeeper Lincoln Grondin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wiarton's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
