Orval Briggs might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jake Kitchen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orval Briggs ran back to his position shaking his head. After 8 played minutes Toronto FC got a freekick which was hit by Matthieu Daigle. 10 minutes into the game, Sam Miner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Moose FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toronto FC the free kick. In the 10th match minute, Moose FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sam Miner to maneuver through the defense. The Toronto FC fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Toronto FC's Orval Briggs looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Moose FC's Jake Kitchen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Talbot in the 27th minute of play. Jake Kitchen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orval Briggs, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orval Briggs in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jake Kitchen saved Moose FC from getting behind. When Toronto FC's Orval Briggs in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Moose FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 34th match minute, Toronto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shawn Cole to maneuver through the defense. Earle Hollis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Papillion Cheek made a huge save. In the 38th minute, Abel Jacques fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 42nd match minute, Moose FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Combs to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute Wilbur Flowers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jake Kitchen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 minutes Moose FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lance Lacey who took care of the corner kick. Lance Lacey made a great header on Toronto FC's corner, it was just that Moose FC's Jake Kitchen managed to reach the ball for a save. The Moose FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Toronto FC were winning 0-2.

In the 57th minute, Wilbur Flowers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Toronto FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 62 minutes into the match, Moose FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gervais Dudley came free, but Jake Kitchen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
