Armel Coulombe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shawn Brennan having to interfere. A collision led to Matrix Fc getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Vern Belanger hit a great ball. After 19 minutes, Frédéric Gabriaux mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CA Palmeiras and the Matrix Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes CA Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Frédéric Gabriaux. The supporters of CA Palmeiras booed when Matrix Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavier Hinton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, CA Palmeiras's Gilberto Vieira got a free kick in the 21st minute. Wilfredo Lekubegi struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Gösta Häll didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matrix Fc. Uriel Raymond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gösta Häll having to interfere. Gösta Häll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Raymond in the 33rd minute of play. Matrix Fc's Uriel Raymond got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CA Palmeiras's Gösta Häll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Txanton in the 44th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Vieira to make the kick off. The supporters of Matrix Fc booed when CA Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shawn Brennan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shawn Brennan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilberto Vieira went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute Gilberto Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shawn Brennan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 68 minutes, Uriel Raymond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matrix Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uriel Raymond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Shawn Brennan came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by CA Palmeiras's Gilberto Vieira. But to his dismay, Gilberto Vieira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Gösta Häll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uriel Raymond in the 78th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uriel Raymond in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gösta Häll prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Prospero Txanton might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gösta Häll. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Prospero Txanton ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute, Ignacio Morel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gösta Häll stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Uriel Raymond's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute.
