In the 12th minute Emmitt Robison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Jöhl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simon Deniger's late challenge caught a Beechbrook FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon Deniger helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Finnegan FC's Simon Deniger got a free kick in the 13th minute. If Quintin Browning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Jöhl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joe Cowan's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Joe Cowan might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Jöhl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joe Cowan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute Quintin Browning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garry Caballero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Finnegan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Deniger to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Simon Deniger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabio Jöhl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emmitt Robison's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After having played for 52 minutes, Emmitt Robison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beechbrook FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emmitt Robison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Finnegan FC's goalkeeper Fabio Jöhl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emmitt Robison in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Jöhl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joe Cowan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 66 minutes into the match, Beechbrook FC's goal looked a bit too open when Quintin Browning came free, but Garry Caballero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gérald Driver charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With his leg Fabio Jöhl managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Beechbrook FC's Joe Cowan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmitt Robison in the 77th minute of play forced Finnegan FC's goalkeeper Fabio Jöhl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joe Cowan scored 0-4 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabio Jöhl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joe Cowan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 82nd playminute. Joe Cowan struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Fabio Jöhl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beechbrook FC. A hard shot by Joe Cowan from long distance, 95 minutes into the match, got Fabio Jöhl's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Beechbrook FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
