Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) A.S. Minerul Anina's Mattias Brandt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bryon Russ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattias Brandt in the 12th minute of the match. Bryon Russ came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by A.S. Minerul Anina's Necaettin İlseven. But to his dismay, Necaettin İlseven quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bryon Russ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilario Telesforo, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute Mattias Brandt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryon Russ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bryon Russ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Forrest Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 27 minutes, Emory Richmond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toronto FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emory Richmond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hilario Telesforo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bryon Russ read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Mattias Brandt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Toronto FC fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Toronto FC's Emory Richmond looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jacques Snow kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emory Richmond to make the kick off. Napoleon Justice kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. If Max Darby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 played minutes Toronto FC got a freekick which was hit by Rubén-Darío Insúa. Forrest Sousa did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Bryon Russ 56 minutes into the match. Necaettin İlseven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bryon Russ stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Forrest Sousa's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Hilario Telesforo took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bryon Russ. Bryon Russ dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In a very dangerous position, a player in A.S. Minerul Anina fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! Rubén-Darío Insúa kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Bryon Russ came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by A.S. Minerul Anina's Hilario Telesforo. But to his dismay, Hilario Telesforo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. With his leg Bryon Russ managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when A.S. Minerul Anina's Mattias Brandt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as A.S. Minerul Anina's Hilario Telesforo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bryon Russ. That made the score 2-6 after 85 minutes of play. Hilario Telesforo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rubén-Darío Insúa kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Bryon Russ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilario Telesforo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Toronto FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Napoleon Justice was slow to take the kick. During this time A.S. Minerul Anina's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on A.S. Minerul Anina's corner Hilario Telesforo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bryon Russ quite easily take care of the ball. Ludwig Jetzek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emory Richmond in the 96th minute of the match.
