In the 31st minute of the match Mert Hakan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ludwig Jetzek skillfully saved the ball. Perry Priest charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Perry Priest the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to A.S. Minerul Anina getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when René Descartes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elijah Silver replaced Phillip Ivey. In the 65th minute Lavern Godin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludwig Jetzek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ludwig Jetzek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from René Descartes went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Sanchester United's René Descartes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ludwig Jetzek. That made the score 0-2 after 71 minutes of play. Sanchester United's Dorian Bray was substituted for Metin Tekin. 77 minutes into the match, Sanchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Vander came free, but Royce Rodriquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Hisham Mumtaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Lavern Godin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ludwig Jetzek. A.S. Minerul Anina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lavern Godin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The Sanchester United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sanchester United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
