Costel Novăceanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quentin Kendrick read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Warner Paimboeuf got free with Cristo Nofre in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elton Avalos's late challenge caught a CFR Sibiu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elton Avalos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Fly T.T was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elton Avalos to maneuver through the defense. Xavies Bedoya struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Quentin Kendrick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CFR Sibiu. Cristo Nofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pastor Vergaray, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Fly T.T's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
