The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Costel Novăceanu in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Royce Rodriquez saved Sanchester United from getting behind. 5 minutes into the match, CFR Sibiu's goal looked a bit too open when René Descartes came free, but Cristo Nofre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Sanchester United's corner Phillip Ivey fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cristo Nofre quite easily take care of the ball. Cristo Nofre had great luck who in the 9thth minute grab hold of the ball when René Descartes from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 10th match minute, Sanchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yerko Staff to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, CFR Sibiu's Costel Novăceanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Royce Rodriquez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, Sanchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mārcis Bokelis to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Costel Novăceanu sped through Sanchester United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Royce Rodriquez. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling René Descartes in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristo Nofre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Sanchester United booed when CFR Sibiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rod Tobin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sanchester United were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after CFR Sibiu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mert Hakan took the corner. Sanchester United's Mert Hakan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cristo Nofre in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Anselme Singletary kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Costel Novăceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rod Tobin kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. René Descartes didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-2 via right post in the game's 37th minute. Sanchester United's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 39thth minute of the game René Descartes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CFR Sibiu's Cristo Nofre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stanimir Rashkov hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After 43 played minutes CFR Sibiu got a freekick which was hit by Hipólito Zambujal. Cristo Nofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from René Descartes, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 44th match minute, CFR Sibiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipólito Zambujal to maneuver through the defense. Clarence Littlejohn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Cristo Nofre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd minute of the match Sanchester United got a corner. CFR Sibiu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mert Hakan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Sanchester United's Mert Hakan to fire away a dangerous shot which Cristo Nofre despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Xavies Bedoya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Royce Rodriquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lavern Godin kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Cristo Nofre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lavern Godin in the 61st minute of the match. Royce Rodriquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costel Novăceanu in the 63rd minute of play. In the 67th minute René Descartes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Nofre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71stth minute of the game Clarence Littlejohn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CFR Sibiu's Cristo Nofre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xavies Bedoya got free with Royce Rodriquez in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Royce Rodriquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costel Novăceanu in the 78th minute of the match. Cristo Nofre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from René Descartes in the 79th minute of play. Sanchester United's Elijah Silver was substituted for Phillip Ivey. René Descartes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 88 minutes into the match, René Descartes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristo Nofre. CFR Sibiu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that René Descartes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sanchester United fully deserved thier win.
