Minerul Anina's zone, Costel Novăceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludwig Jetzek came out of the goal and Costel Novăceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Xavies Bedoya took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Ludwig Jetzek to make any attempt to save it. In the 85th minute, Mattias Brandt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristo Nofre was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. A.S. Minerul Anina's Ludwig Jetzek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costel Novăceanu in the 94th minute of play. In the 95thth minute of the game Costel Novăceanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.S. Minerul Anina's Ludwig Jetzek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match was over CFR Sibiu could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than A.S. Minerul Anina throughout the match.
