Spectators: 9253 (Terracing: 6941, Seating: 2128, VIP seats: 184) 7 minutes into the match, Toronto United's goalkeeper Kauã Paranaense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dobrin Cormoran. 8 minutes into the match, Burriss's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Eleazar came free, but Sakarias Berggren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Toronto United's Kauã Paranaense got control of the ball when Dobrin Cormoran tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute, Toronto United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dobrin Cormoran fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Dobrin Cormoran's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kauã Paranaense firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Dobrin Cormoran kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kauã Paranaense. That made the score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. Abe Atwood hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Lou Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sakarias Berggren having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dobrin Cormoran in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kauã Paranaense saved Toronto United from getting behind. The corner led Burriss's Monty Peacock to a score. 3-0 in the 27th minute. After 30 played minutes Burriss got a freekick which was hit by Mack Sansouci. After 36 minutes, Friday Sobota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Burriss and the Toronto United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th minute Abraham Fitzgerald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sakarias Berggren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kauã Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Friday Sobota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd match minute, Toronto United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Brand to maneuver through the defense. Burriss's Dobrin Cormoran got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

In the 52nd minute, Lou Walker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 played minutes Toronto United got a freekick which was hit by Gong Bin Ming. Kauã Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dobrin Cormoran in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Toronto United's Lou Walker ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sakarias Berggren. Sakarias Berggren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. When Buford Epperson fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toronto United's protests and gave Buford Epperson a yellow card for diving instead. 69 minutes into the game, one of Toronto United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 74thth minute of the game Lou Walker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Burriss's Sakarias Berggren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dobrin Cormoran in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kauã Paranaense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute Elwood Keys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sakarias Berggren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Toronto United booed when Burriss was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Monty Peacock didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Burriss's goal looked a bit too open when Lou Walker came free, but Sakarias Berggren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sakarias Berggren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodolfo Eleazar's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. The supporters of Toronto United booed when Burriss was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mack Sansouci didn't get a good kick on the ball.
