A wasted opportunity for Persepolis F.C.. 8 minutes into the match, Persepolis F.C.'s goalkeeper Santos Perez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wes Lyles. Spondin AFC's Jeffrey Griggs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Carlomagno in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arden Poulin in the 11th minute of play forced Spondin AFC's goalkeeper Jeffrey Griggs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santos Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georges Huard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arden Poulin in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeffrey Griggs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the game, Arden Poulin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Jeffrey Griggs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arden Poulin was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Arden Poulin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeffrey Griggs was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Persepolis F.C. made a substitution. Dennis Rudolph replaced Gwidon Seliga. Justo Carlomagno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 82 minutes in the game, Arden Poulin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jeffrey Griggs having to interfere. Avery Merrill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeffrey Griggs having to interfere. Jeffrey Griggs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justo Carlomagno in the 90th minute. Arden Poulins short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Jeffrey Griggs to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arden Poulin in the 94th minute of play forced Spondin AFC's goalkeeper Jeffrey Griggs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
