An unexpectedly hard shot by Lou Walker in the 13th minute of play forced Leader FC's goalkeeper Alim Doğangün to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Eleazar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alim Doğangün read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Alim Doğangün showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Eleazar in the 16th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodolfo Eleazar in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alim Doğangün saved Leader FC from getting behind. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leader FC's goalkeeper Alim Doğangün, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Toronto United's Kauã Paranaense got control of the ball when Royal Pain tried to sneak it across the goal line. Toronto United were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Leader FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Güngör Yüce took the corner. Kauã Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnathan Marois in the 39th minute of the match. Edgardo Crook hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elwood Keys during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Toronto United getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Elwood Keys hit a great ball. Alim Doğangün took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Eleazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toronto United's Kauã Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Royal Pain in the 61st minute of play. Lou Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alim Doğangün having to interfere. Johnathan Marois hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Toronto United's Gösta Enegren got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After 76 minutes, Lou Walker made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Leader FC's Alim Doğangün tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Leader FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Edgardo Crook hit a great ball. Alim Doğangün showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elwood Keys in the 84th minute of the match. Alim Doğangün was a little too slow when Rodolfo Eleazar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 94th match minute, Toronto United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Brand to maneuver through the defense. The Toronto United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
