After 19 played minutes Quebec city FC got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Hutton. Carlos Whitmore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avery Merrill in the 21st minute of play. Quebec city FC's Sidney Aupry got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Whitmore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avery Merrill in the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avery Merrill in the 29th minute of play forced Quebec city FC's goalkeeper Carlos Whitmore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ildefonso Harkaitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Whitmore. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ildefonso Harkaitz ran back to his position shaking his head. After 31 minutes, Arden Poulin made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Quebec city FC's Carlos Whitmore tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36thth minute of the game Arden Poulin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quebec city FC's Carlos Whitmore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Whitmore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avery Merrill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Danny Craig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A sloppy throw-in by Rudolph Hutchinson in the 70th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Persepolis F.C.'s Arden Poulin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Stjohn in the 72nd minute of play forced Persepolis F.C.'s goalkeeper Santos Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th match minute, Quebec city FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradley Boisvert to maneuver through the defense. The Quebec city FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Persepolis F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
