Spectators: 9378 (Terracing: 7036, Seating: 2156, VIP seats: 186) 3 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Erenay Acarsoy came free, but Omar Duardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4th minute, Louis Butts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Gasca Nebuna's zone, Salvador Tate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehis Nugin came out of the goal and Salvador Tate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vancouver Reds's Omar Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenton Mercure in the 8th minute of play. Omar Duardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 许源斌, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Vancouver Reds's Nicolás Castillo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Omar Duardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 温超适 in the 20th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Gasca Nebuna's 温超适 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Omar Duardo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mehis Nugin made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Nicolás Castillo sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Vancouver Reds's Mehis Nugin threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cameron Leary, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kenton Mercure fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Duardo having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Sabin Bălcescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gasca Nebuna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vancouver Reds the free kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Gasca Nebuna made a substitution. Tales Arruda replaced 许源斌. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 温超适 made a kick off. A collision led to Vancouver Reds getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Joan Carrasco hit a great ball. The supporters of Gasca Nebuna booed when Vancouver Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pang Jun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vancouver Reds's Cameron Leary got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joachim Elg's late challenge caught a Vancouver Reds's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joachim Elg helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Gasca Nebuna got a freekick which was hit by Joachim Elg. In the 63rd minute, Joachim Elg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute Macnelly Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehis Nugin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Vancouver Reds booed when Gasca Nebuna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jardel Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 68 minutes, Nicolás Castillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vancouver Reds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolás Castillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Omar Duardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tales Arruda. Omar Duardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tales Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Vancouver Reds's Guo Ke Peng suffered a sprained foot after 75 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Sabin Bălcescu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. Vancouver Reds's Billy Oja was substituted for Guo Ke Peng. Sabin Bălcescu hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Salvador Tate hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute of the match Kenton Mercure sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Omar Duardo skillfully saved the ball. Kenton Mercure received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Omar Duardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Macnelly Torres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mehis Nugin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Macnelly Torres in the 88th minute of play forced Gasca Nebuna's goalkeeper Mehis Nugin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Duardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenton Mercure, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
