Fabian Abeijon made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Norberto Beckman sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norberto Beckman got free with Fabian Abeijon in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gunnar Henriksson came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Rapid's Ştefan Paveliuc. But to his dismay, Ştefan Paveliuc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Rapid booed when Inter 1908 Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carrol Sparks didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rapid's Fabian Abeijon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Rapid from getting a goal against them. Rapid's Fabian Abeijon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Emin Yağınalp in the 17th minute of play. Inter 1908 Milan's Gunnar Henriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohamed Barron in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Inter 1908 Milan's Carrol Sparks got a free kick in the 20th minute. Gunnar Henriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Barron, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mohamed Barron during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Vigur Arnleifsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabian Abeijon. That made the score 1-1 in the 25 minute of play. In the 27th minute Mohamed Barron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Henriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Vigur Arnleifsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliodor Ştefleas short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Fabian Abeijon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jospeh Heller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Fabian Abeijon made a huge save. A collision led to Inter 1908 Milan getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Clement Kimble hit a great ball. Gunnar Henriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Palban in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Inter 1908 Milan's Eliodor Şteflea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Abeijon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, Rapid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ştefan Paveliuc to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the game, Eliodor Şteflea threw the ball into play from the sideline. The crowd rose to their feet as Mohamed Barron kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gunnar Henriksson. That made the score 1-2 in the 78 minute of play. 81 minutes in the game, Leon Palban fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gunnar Henriksson having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Inter 1908 Milan's Jospeh Heller got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The corner ended in Eliodor Şteflea almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rapid's Fabian Abeijon did a great save. Fabian Abeijon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Emin Yağınalp in the 95th minute of play. The Rapid players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
