Spectators: 9213 (Terracing: 6912, Seating: 2118, VIP seats: 183) Fenerbahçe S.K.'s Qiao Qi Bo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Qiao Qi Bo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Fernando Navarro Montoya made a huge save. Kristian Martinsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lothaire Maddox, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Loco Loco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Navarro Montoya having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Qiao Qi Bo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Club Atlético Lanús's Fernando Navarro Montoya. Fernando Navarro Montoya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 27 played minutes Club Atlético Lanús got a freekick which was hit by Garfield Watson. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Lanús's zone, Carlo Sansouci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Navarro Montoya came out of the goal and Carlo Sansouci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Qiao Qi Bo charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Qiao Qi Bo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahçe S.K.'s Qiao Qi Bo got a free kick in the 29th minute. With a little luck, Club Atlético Lanús's Fernando Navarro Montoya got control of the ball when Qiao Qi Bo tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lothaire Maddox made a kick off. Club Atlético Lanús were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Fenerbahçe S.K.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Garfield Watson took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Fenerbahçe S.K.'s goalie and right to Hong Copeland. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Fenerbahçe S.K.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Desaulniers in the 62nd minute of play forced Club Atlético Lanús's goalkeeper Fernando Navarro Montoya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fenerbahçe S.K.'s Felice Patricelli was substituted for Charlie Blevins. Hershel Guertin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernando Navarro Montoya had in the 76thth minute some difficulties stopping Carlo Sansouci's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 79th minute, Murray Schmitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Lanús's Murray Schmitz got a free kick in the 80th minute. If Francesco Basso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Qiao Qi Bo scored 5-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Navarro Montoya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Fenerbahçe S.K. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
